On November 12, 2024, we hosted the P23 Africa Business Brunch a vibrant hub of connection and collaboration. We invited entrepreneurs and business leaders from IT, cybersecurity, health tech, edtech, fintech, fashion, renewable energy, HR, and hospitality to share insights and forge valuable connections as part of our Business Referral Network.
As guests arrived, the room buzzed with lively conversation, with new connections exchanging ideas and experiences. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie, laying the groundwork for meaningful business relationships.
Highlights of the Business Brunch Event
1. Introducing the Business Referral Network
One of the standout features of the brunch was the introduction of our Business Referral Network. This network aims to connect business owners, entrepreneurs, and founders to referrals that create opportunities for mutual growth.
Attendees were eager to learn how they could leverage this network to expand their reach and enhance their business prospects.
2. The Box of Possibilities
Our guests also received exercise cards designed to help them reflect on their business goals. This activity encouraged participants to think critically about their business goals for 2025 and how they could achieve them. We collected these cards in our “Box of Possibilities“.
3. Interactive Question Cards
We also had our guests discuss some icebreaker question cards to get the conversation going, with questions about their working style, management, and life as business leaders. This was a lively interactive session where our guests answered questions about remote work (for or against), work-life balance (whether it was possible), and how they stay productive.
4. Breakout Business Conversation Sessions
The heart of the event was the breakout sessions, where the P23 Africa team sat in groups to discuss with the attendees about key topics: branding, cash flow management, client acquisition, and hiring the right talent. Our team fielded questions from the attendees and provided solution-oriented answers based on each entrepreneur’s unique business journey.
Throughout the day, we conducted brief interview sessions with some of our guests to collect their insights for a segment we called “Dear African Entrepreneur“.
5. Engaging Conversations over Brunch
Let’s not forget about the food! We promised an array of delicious finger food and drinks—and we delivered! Conversations flow better over food, and our attendees ate while they talked and chatted with each other.
